An Amusing Aside Gotta Love Technology
Dec 31

I know, it has been well over a week since I first mentioned my big plan for financial freedom. No, I haven't been holding out on you, I have just been relaxing and enjoying the Christmas break.

Given it is now New Year's Eve, it is the ideal time to commit my plan to print - it can also double as my new year's resolution. And, as an added bonus, I am now publicly accountable for ensuring I follow through on the plan.

So, this is my grand plan for 2008:

  1. Teleseminars - I recently started the Teleseminar Secrets course by Alex Mandossian. This course teaches all you need to know to plan, promote and monetise a teleseminar series. I already have a rough plan, and a partner, for my first series. Watch this space for further details.
  2. Membership Websites - What a great system for producing an unbounded regular income stream! The particular idea I have came to me on a long walk. It still needs a lot of work to bring to fruition, but the projections are amazing.
  3. Affiliate Marketing - Billions of dollars are spent online each year. All I need to get a slice of this is a product and the ability to reach an audience willing to buy. The strategies above will give me the second part of the equation. The first part is readily available - others already have products that they will pay you healthy percentages on when you sell for them.
  4. eBooks - If affiliates make money, the owner of the product makes even more. At this stage I am not sure what I will write on. Good thing I have some time up my sleeve to think about it.

Yes, this is quite a list, but here is the key to the plan - in 2008 I will focus on only one project at a time. Only once I have conquered one will I work on adding the next to the mix.

Of course, I will be hanging on to my day job until the plan can replace this income. In addition, I will also be looking at picking up some extra income from developing the occasional website, assisting Helena grow our Neways business, and developing a winning trading strategy. Each of these will be on a "time available" basis, ensuring that they do not interfere with the progression of my primary plans.

As you can see, it is going to be a busy and exciting 2008 for me - one that is going to open a whole new chapter in my life.

I look forward to sharing my progress with you all.

Good on you Warren for having a plan and the guts to put it into print in a public forum. I wish you well.

Working on one thing at a time sounds like a good idea. I have read a number of stories about people embarking on this sort of journey. They say that is seems as if they are just going around in circles as there are so many things they could be doing but they never just choose one and stick with it to the end.

I am awfully sorry to hear about the other news - that you are a Mac user! Just joking. Anyway keep on posting about your adventures and progress. It will make for an informative story that will inspire others.

    Brendan.
